Doing the pelimanary task was a massive help when doing learning the editing. Working on a timeline in premier pro and putting everything in the correct order was reletivly new to us, considering my only use of video editing was windows movie maker. Learning the basics of how to fidle around with clips, cut them at the right time move them around on the timeline was what we learnt mainly, this was helpful as when it came to doing our main film we were used to the basics.

 

 

In our peliminary sequance we learnt how to do continuity editing for when she was walking up the stairs, an working on the premier pro timelime we could zoom in so that we cut at the exact right point for the next shot so that it looked perfect. This was helpful for our main film as we had to do this alot because if the slightest shot was cut early it would have looked bad so learning and practising this earlyer was helpful

 

We didnt do too much cross cutting in our pelimanary sequance, but we did in our main film so learning and practicing the basics earlyer on was helpful  so that we could focus on learning harder editing techneques
